External connection to a MySQL database? A common question from our clients. In the hosting administration, you can enable external connection to your MySQL database for all IP addresses, or you can choose to allow only specific IP addresses. For security reasons, we recommend carefully selecting specific IP addresses and not allowing connections from all addresses.
