At the beginning of February, our clients reported issues with card payments on https://mydreams.cz and our billing portal. We discovered that GoPay had deactivated our card processing without notifying us, and we were unaware of the reason or when the cards had been deactivated. After addressing the issue with GoPay and many days of delays and excuses, we learned that the deactivation was due to our offering of Adult Hosting services.
We promptly moved the Adult Hosting to a different platform and requested reactivation of our card processing. While we understand the concerns around Adult Hosting, we thought the issue was resolved. However, after another week, GoPay refused to unblock our cards, citing the provision of Cloud services as a reason. This was a surprising and frustrating development, especially since other companies offering cloud services are also using GoPay.
Our trust in GoPay has been declining year after year, and the decision to cut off our clients' ability to pay by credit card during the COVID-19 pandemic was the last straw. Consequently, we are transitioning to Braintree for both our web hosting platforms and gradually for all our clients' e-commerce sites.
We apologize to our clients for the temporary inconvenience regarding card payments and are working diligently to resolve the issue and restore card payment functionality as soon as possible.
